Hi all, opinions on the following please. Looking at buying a new van and at the moment I think I've narrowed it down to a choice of 2.Firsts van is an 08 plated Vivaro 2.0cdti with full service history but with 135k on the clock, the second van is also a Vivaro but is a high-top cdti on a 54 plate with 70k on the clock with bits of history.
First van is up fo 4k, others on for 3.5k not had any dealings with this type van before so input much appreciated, cheers

Hi,
I would definitely go for the 08 reg van. It's much newer and has a full history - both big advantages.
135k isn't excessive for a van and knowing that it has been properly looked after counts for much more than a few less miles. Also, it will be worth more when you sell it because it's 4 years newer.
Age causes more unpredictable problems than mileage, in my experience, and I never buy vehicles without a decent history.
Hope this helps...

Vivaros can have problems with injectors and gearboxes. I have recently had to replace injectors into ours (<40k miles) and I know of another business in our estate with injector problems, and one with a gearbox problem. There are quite a few mentions online of both these issues.0
