Beware of the 'RAC CON'
I have been a loyal RAC customer for 9 years on a family membership and 3 years on my own happily paying for and very occasionally using their breakdown attendance cover. All was well until today when my wife, who has been with Green Flag via Tesco for a couple of years, got her renewal in the post. First thing I noticed…

Tyres - help
My car needs two new tyres, it must know I'm considering selling it in a few months. The guy at Kwikfit said its an unusual size and I think he might be right. The cheapest I can find fitted is on Ctyres and they're Kumhos (the brand currently on) for £45 each. Eek. Does anyone know any cheaper places either online, mobile…

New Passat 2.0Tdi Blumotion
Just to commend the latest B7 Passat. After 2600 mixed miles computer tells me I am averaging 62.4 mpg. Given how infrequently I have had to fill 'her' up that seems accurate. Amazing for a 140 bhp 2.0 Tdi. And before you ask no hanging around.

Most Expensive Car Insurance Quote
When using a well known comparison website to get a TPF&T quote, I scrolled down out of curiosity to see what the most expensive quote would be. (The cheapest was around £650ish, which is way more than last year already.) A fair few companies wouldn't quote, having only a year's NCB and less than 2 years driving…

Lexus CT200h
Has anyone bought the new Lexus CT200h? Does it offer anything above the Toyota Prius / Auris? Opinions plse. I'm planning to take a test drive soon, having been amazed at the fuel economy. The Golf TDi Bluemotion was my alternative choice, but it feels like a lot of money for a car with such a basic interior. I'm happy to…

driving in rush hour, am a bit 'frazzled' now !
I have always been able to avoid the rush hour until today when I thought I had plenty of time to get to my destination by setting off early, turns out was not early enough and traffic was mad. As a fairly inexperienced driver I was quite scared and relieved to get home safe and sound. I can understand why the powers that…

Is there any burden of proof on the police?
My husband was stopped last week by an officer who insisted my husband was not wearing his seatbelt in his works van. My husband insists he was and I have to say in all the years I've known him I have NEVER known him not to wear one. I work in a company which deals with accident claims and often talk about my work so he…

Car insurance renewal - can this be right?!
Just got my insurance renewal notice through from Aviva. £540 for a 10 year old 1.6 Audi A3. Started at £400 when I bought the car 3 years ago and gradually creeped up. I'm a 30 year old male with 9 years no claims and have held a completely clean license (touch wood!) for around 12 years. Aren't premiums supposed to go…
