Lidl and Aldi screenwash

I went to Lidl then Aldi to get screen wash.

Both had none, they only sell it in winter I was told.

Good job my car windscreen won't get dirty then because it is summertime.

In summertime, when freezing isn't a problem, I just use water. Its only when I'm worried it'll freeze that I add the more expensive screenwash.

I was going to stock up for the winter, Lidl and Aldi are practically next door to each other and near the swimming pool where I was this morning. I usually go to one or the other after my morning swim.

Well there's still some time yet before winter comes back, plenty of time to pop down to Halfords and see what they have in stock??

But Halfords is not at a place where I would normally go. That would be an extra trip.

I can leave my car in the swimming pool car park and pop cross the road to Lidl and Aldi.

Aldi and Lidl have regular 'Specials' the screenwash is a 'Special' line it is not a normal stock item (rather than only being sold in winter, it is likely to be a Special in winter iyswim). You should sign up for the emails that tell you what is coming.

Agree with the point about 'specials', although my local Lidl had screenwash in yesterday.

Both Aldi and Lidl versions are reckoned to be good stuff, so I think it sells quickly when it comes in.

Using plain water in summer is OK, but the washer motor and jets will run more freely if there's some washer fluid in the bottle because it acts as a lubricant.

Lidl sells W5 summer additive in wee lemon bottles.

I just put a good squirt of washing up liquid in my jug of water when it needs filling... Dont know if that will help

Don't use washing up liquid in your windscreen wash!
