Registered Owner and Finance
Both my son and myself have our own cars and are thinking of trading them both in and buying one car to share as I don't drive many miles now. If I get the car and have my son as the registered owner, can I get the finance in my name? We have got the insurance quotes with him as the registered owner and keeper and me as a…

Pre MOT mileage = post MOT mileage
I recently put my car in for an MOT and when I went to pick it up, the mileage hadn't changed. Aren't the mechanics supposed to take it for a drive to test it?

Paintwork on new Fiesta 2010
Now then, this is going to be difficult to describe. My one year old Fiesta seems to have developed a fault in the paintwork. It's hard to describe but when I polished it yesterday there are marks under the paint, something like when you spill petrol and it leaves a purpely irridescent glow. These marks are all over and…

Boot catch jammed - self maintenance
I own a 2003 ford Fusion. The boot has jammed and won't open with the key or the remote or the dashboard button. The solenoid in the boot does sound when I press the remote buttons. Does anyone have a link to a good DIY repair guide for the Fusion. Or can anyone suggest how to disengage the lock from the inside?

My son's car insurance runs out on 27th April. He's been driving for a year and when he took out his first year's insurance it was £2200  which was the cheapest we could find(from Tesco). This year, instead of going down it's actually gone up to £2400 in spite of the fact that he's had no claims and he now has 1…

Fraudulently Obtained Registration Document
My father, who passed away this week, was the sole trader of a small business. His assets included a van used for business which was on a contract purchase scheme whereby the V5 was retained by the finance company until the loan was fully paid. There was only 1 payment outstanding on the account after which the van would…
