AA Call Out - Flat Battery
I couldn't start the car yesterday evening due to a flat battery. No idea how it went flat as had no warning signs prior. Anyway, called the AA and they sent a 3rd party recovery firm out to boost my battery. Didn't know the AA used 3rd party contractors. Thought they just used their own patrols!

Anyone used Metro Salvage?
I have a new car and my old Daewoo is sitting around unused with tax until end of January and MOT until July. Initally I had planned to sell it but it's not a desirable vehicle and the Logbook has it recorded as Accident Damaged, so realistically this will also reduce what I get for the car. Today I started looking around…

Oyster Travelcard - strange behaviour
I normally load a zones 1-3 Travelcard onto my Oyster card every week to travel between Waterloo (zone 1) and Kew Bridge (zone 3), and make my return journey from Gunnersbury (zone 3) to Embankment (zone 1). Ever since having to make this journey, I've touched in at Waterloo, then exited Kew Bridge without touching, with…

2011 VOSA changes to MOT
Taken from http://wrecks2riches.co.uk/2010/10/2011-changes-to-mot/ The HID change I approve of, no more blinding people to look cool - brings a clear and concise end to after market HID's. Chipped ECU - not sure how that would be enforced or why this is being introduced. It also seems unclear (to me) as to whether this…

best business car lease deals over 23,000 miles per annum
I have just been offered a new job where I get an amount of cash to lease a car instead of a company car. I will get £5,300 plus 24p a mile. Most of the leasing sites I've looked at have a 10,000 mile per annum limit which isn't going to be enough. Ideally I want something around a 1.8L, Diesel, a Hatchback. Can anyone…

OK. I have a friend from an EU country (a real friend, it's NOT me! :p ) who has got himself in a pickle. He bought a Mercedes in August off some guy who had advertised it in gumtree (Unfortunately I was away on holiday at the time or none of this would have happened). The guy had no log book , but the car was cheap…
