Extending a contract hire?

I've got a car on a three year contract hire. It's one of those where the car is just handed back after the term.
My three years end in March, but I would like to keep the car for another year or two. Can I do this? Will they put my monthly cost down?

Renault Finance sold one to me at the end of a 3 year contract at a very good price - what they would expect it to have fetched at auction, so I got a low mileage car I'd had from new with no problems at all. Might be an option if you really want to keep the car and they won't extend the contract. I don't think they like to get involved with MOT requirements especially if it's a contract where they renew the tax and send you the disc.0
