Car Insurance question
Hi, following on from my thread yesterday about buying my father's car for my DS I'm wondering if anyone could advise on the current insurance situation? The car is currently covered on a fully comp policy with More Than until Feb 2011 in my father's name only. He has had his licence revoked by DVLA due to medical reasons. Am I right in thinking that his insurance will now be void? I have advised him to ring the company and advise the change in circumstances. As we're not in a rush for the car my parents are happy to hang onto it for a couple of months and the plan was to change over the registered owner to DS around Christmas time and insure it in his name at the same time. The car will be kept in their garage but they want it to be covered for fire and theft, will More Than change over their existing policy or will they need to cancel and take out a completely new policy?

Call More Than and see what they say. I can't see why they wouildn't be able to simply change the policy. The important this is that they need to be told about the situation, as if they're not and something happens, they have the perfect excuse not to pay out!0
