Branded v. Supermarket petrol / diesel
I generally avoid filling up at supermarkets as far as possible, in a totally unscientific belief that BP/Shell etc. fuel (diesel, in my case) is "better quality." Am I deluding myself? Will branded fuel really give me better performance / economy / look after my engine better? And, while I'm at it, is paying extra for…

Citroen-free MOT offer
On their website they are offering a free MOT on cars over 4 years old. Got my 8 year old Berlingos MOT done, it passed, so free. Of course if it fails, the dealer would cost more than an independant garage for the repair, but you can take the car to the independant for repair and MOT if the savings justify it. My plan was…

AA - Can you cancel within cooling off period even if you've had a callout?
Joined the AA this year since it was cheaper than the RAC who I'd been with for 10 years plus. Nightmare with them last night. Car broke down in Tesco petrol station at 6-40pm. Petrol Prices Hit Record High - Have you cut back use?
All these threads about how expensive fuel is, but have you actually cut back? I've gone back to public transport, cycling to the station, taking a train and cycling to work, covering about 8.5 miles a day on my bike. So have cut back from 170L per month to 0 :D
