car mileage and petrol cost

HI trying to work our my petrol cost. Travelling 48 kilometers everyday. car can do 62.76 kilometer per litre How much will this cost me per week? Thanks

You would use 3.82 gallons to do this journey given the figures you provided.

At about £5.40 (119p/l) that would cost you £20.63.

Gaz, I’m not sure where you got your figures from, I worked out that doing 48 km a day on a moped that does 62 km per litre will use 0.77 litre per day.

At £1.20 per litre the cost will £4.65 per week if you do five trips or £6.50 if you do seven.

Obviously the harder you pedal the less the cost will be.

+1, thats what I got. 240km per week (5 days) / 62km * £1.20 = £4.65.

That fuel efficiency seems awfully high for a car.......

62.76 km/liter = 177.2850356 miles/gallon(UK)

Vaio I believe its a figure of speech - a moped that could achieve 171mpg it is probably quicker to get a pedal bike and do the journey

That was my fault for skim reading. I read it at 62 kilometers per gallon, not 62 kilometers per litre.

Never heard of a car doing 62km per litre before
