Buying Used Cars - Prices Too Good To Be True
I am half-looking at buying a "new" used car, i.e. if one pops up at a bargain price when I'm looking online then I will consider buying it. Over the weekend I have found 2 real bargains, both BMW 1 series, for much, much lower than the book price. I have emailed both sellers separately and both have come back with similar…

Selling car - worried
Hi I hope someone can help. I've advertised my car on a free website for £5,500 hoping to get £5k. I have been emailed by someone to say they don't live locally but will give £4k cash unseen (well obviously when they come to get it but not seen before hand). This sounded slightly odd to me but as I was planning on getting…

can't understand those 3-year old (motability) cars
having seen several 2005 grand scenic, ex-motability, 10k-30k miles, with lots of scratches, dirty inside. What surprised me most are the damages under the bonnet, and the repairs shown in the so-called full service history. Having been to several traders, many cars are very dirty, with spider nets under the folded seats, many scratches, lots of debris, large area stained seats, etc. But when I talked about those to the trader, they always say "don't worry, i will do a full valet before you collect, and you can't see any of those." one trader…
