Nationwide "semi-flexible" loop-hole
This may have been widely discussed here before, but it is a new discovery for me. As a longstanding Nationwide mortgage holder, I have tended to move from one 2-year deal to the next, taking the best tracker or fixed rate each time and using the roll-over point to make a net redemption without incurring early repayment…

Standard Life considers £1bn boost to with-profits policyholders - has it happened?
Standard Life are considering paying out surpluses to policy holders (see below)! Is this true? My policy matured on the 20th March 2007, so will I lose out if it happens? Surely, some of surpluses were accumulated whilst I had the policy, so I hope i'll get something out of it, especially given I had a shortfall on the…

Looking for a mortgage with LTV based on valuation NOT purchase price
Is there such a mortgage that is based on the valuation of the property and NOT the purchase price? It seems that all the providers say they take the lower of the two. I purchased my property in November and have added around £10k worth to it, and with the (small) growth in the market, my LTV should be a bit better.

Selling Endowment Policy?
Wondered if anyone could give me any advice about the possibility of selling an Endowment Policy on to a company rather than surrendering it. Have seen companies advertising the possibility of a higher return than the surrender value. All ideas much appreciated :D

Endowment maturing later this year
I have an old Royal Life policy with a maturity date end of November. I've just received my "Green letter" from Phoenix which shows that the final amount for 3.25% 4% and 5% to be identical and therefore the amount I should receive at that date. Am I correct?
