Currently am on virgin sim only monthly contract with a basic phone. Tempted to get myself a smartphone. One option i have is to buy a phone outright and not be tied in a 24 month contract. Smartphone - any unwanted charges/bills?
I am thinking of buying a smartphone on a contract. Can i control my bill? Have heard of some apps which when installed send unauthorised text msgs etc leaving you with a nasty bill. I know that only a few apps do it. I think angry birds apps was on the news a while back. If this does happen is there something one can do…

Phone stolen
Any word on how this works? My wife's phone was stolen in a pub just now, Samsung Omnia 7. Rang initially but now they've obviously turned it off or taken out the sim card. Just called up T-mobile, they said they blocked the phone. What does that actually do? Does it deter any thief? I'm assuming not?

Talk to me about these smartphones ...
I am in desperate need of a new phone. My beloved Nokia N97mini is just about dead - for the last few days I haven't been able to get the screen to respond so it really must go to the great scrapheap  I truly LOVE this phone - the slideout QWERTY keyboard is the main feature that I adore but I just can't find anything…

Orange iPhone Unlock
Apologies, because I'm sure there is already a plethora of unlock horror stories with regards to Orange but couldn't find a definitive answer either way on the forums. Does the £20 admin charge still apply to unlock the phone, even when you've finished your contact and paid you're last bill? I was under the impression that…

Changes to Vodafone Data Roaming - WAS £10/pm NOW £90/pm!!!

I was travelling around Europe for 12 months last year and I was able to deal with all my customers via e-mail thanks to the 25/MB a day tariff called Vodafone Data Traveller for a fee of £10/mth. It may not seem like a lot…

I am trying to find out the price of PAYG on the O2 site with no luck. I am looking at a contract with 100 mins which would normally be enough for me but there is the occasional month when I might need more.
