O2 Pay Monthly texting abroad
Hi Quick question:- Am i right in saying that even though I am on a pay monthly contract with O2 on the iPhone that if I am texting from Cyprus to the UK, the costs don't come out of my monthly textballowance - and instead cost an additional 10p per text? Cheers Kev

Giff Gaff or international sim
Hi I've managed to get hold of an unlocked phone and now need a sim that I can use for 6 months travelling (mainly South America, NZ and Asia). I only really need the phone for peace of mind, to send/receive txt and to only make calls in an emergency. So don't need any data. What sim should I go for. Having looked through…

Cheapest way of calling and texting a Dutch mobile in France from an English mobile
So my Dutch girlfriend has just moved to France for a year and I'm left with the problem of contacting her. All the cheap phone deals are very unclear as to whether they would work with my situation, as I don't know whether it would be the same price if I have to go through the Dutch network as well. Has anyone had any…

How soon will iPhone 4 prices drop?
My 3GS contract ends early October and I am looking to upgrade to an iPhone 4 rather than the 5, but I will feel miffed if the prices drop considerably a few weeks later! I can't afford to buy a handset outright so it has to be contract. Do the prices really drop that much and so soon after the new release? I won't mind so…

Changes to contract - any alert services?
Is there an email service out there that alerts you to general changes in contracts by mobile phone operators that would allow you to give them 30 days notice to cancel? I know they should tell you, but I'm sure it would be handy for people wanting to terminate early without penalty.

Mobile phone unlocking.
Am with Tesco Mobile but not impressed with the range of handsets available online, and am not able to visit store for the forseeable future. If I pick up a handset in say, Vodafone, can I take it to one of those places that unlocks them? And what is a reasonable fee? The reason I am hesitant is that although they have…

Cheap way to call UK mobs from abroad/using my inclusive minutes?
Hi everyone. I wonder if anyone has any ideas about how I can call a UK mobile cheaply from South Korea. The cheapest I have found so far is using Skype at 14p/min....but it seems to charge more somehow..the credit just vanishes. Buying calling cards here is about the same rate. I have inclusive minutes in my S Korean…

Are they allowed to call them "Upgrades"
Without going into too much detail. I am with O2 and at the end of yet another contract I went online to see what upgrade deals I could get and see that the deal for a new customer are exactly the same as those supposedly for my "Upgrade". Is this not false advertising as it leads me to believe an upgrade is a reward for…

Cheap mobile calls to america
I'm currently with Orange but the contract is up for renewal so thought I'd look around for a deal that offers cheap international calls - specifically to America. I currently have a bundle that takes the cost per minute down to 17p, but wonder if anybody else has a better deal with an alternative network. I know my other…

Problem with Orange-advice appreciated
Here is a sorry tale, partially a result of my naivety; advice would be gratefully received! I visited an Orange store in Derby on Saturday as my phone had a fault. I was advised that an 'Upgrade' was available to me, and I could renew my contract in the store. I was recommended a 'Dolphin 25' contract for £25 per month.…

Mobile Ignoramus Needs Help!
Hi All - about 6 months ago my son trundled into town and irresponsibly signed up to an orange mobile deal with a free blackberry. (we did have the necessary 'discussion' and he has assured me he won't do anything like this again). He was 18 at the time, at college and in part-time work. Unfortunately I have been paying…

Advise on what happens at the end of a phone contract?
My contract with Orange is due to end soon. It was a 24 month contract when I took it out, with loads of minutes texts etc. I have an iphone 3gs, and have no intention of upgrading. I'm happy enough with the phone, and feel no need for a new one. I'd like to stay with orange, but on a much lower tariff. I'm currently…

Orange san francisco - orange rep or others help me please
Hi I got an orange san francisco 1 month ago ... within a month the first phone failed - it stopped charging the battery - and I had to ring for a replacement.. the replacement cuts out when I make phonecalls - has a marked face - and is very much more orange than my 'new one'.. So I'm guessing I've been sent a dodgy…
