PAYG unauthorised multimedia charges
I noticed back in January that my Orange PAYG account was being deducted £4 per month for an item marked with a numeric reference, and the only clue as to what it was for is the word 'multimedia', which hardly narrowed it down! Orange customer services were unable to tell me what it was for (used Data Protection as an…

Cheap basic PAYG
Our local Staples (Isle of Wight) has a simple Samsung candybar phone (E1100, I think) on Orange for £15, including £10 airtime. Looks a good deal to me, especially for a child, as it has an SOS feature that calls a preset number, e.g. home, when you press a single button.

Misled by Carphone Warehouse
I bought a mobile from Carphone Warehouse via their online shop, which quite clearly states includes the purchase of a £10 airtime voucher - a separate physical item on the order. When I didn't receive the voucher I rang them, and was told they don't provide the voucher, but top up remotely within 72 hours. Apart from the…

Orange and our consumer rights.
Over the weekend a relative of mine bought an Nokia N95 from the his local Orange store, now having dealt with the phone he feels he made the wrong decision, not only is the phone 'too fiddly' for him but (and with my agreement) he feels he is paying over the odds for the phone. (£40pm) In fact I have the n96 and pay £35…
