Orange: Changing price plans?

Hello all, I am considering taking out a 12 month contract with Orange and would like to know if it's possible to switch to any price plan after 6 months per the following paragraph in the T&C:
You may switch to a higher Service Plan at any time. You may switch to a lower Service Plan as often as you like after 6 months following your Connection to the Network, unless otherwise stated. In the event you do switch Service Plan and add to or cancel Orange Additional Services you must give us not less than 10 days notice before your Billing Date (subject to the terms of any promotional offers you have accepted).
The cheapest 12 month contract plan appears to be either Dolphin 30 or Racoon 30 both costing £27.41 per month on a 12 month contract. Orange also offer a Dolphin 15 plan on a 24 month contract that costs £14.68.

Would it be possible to take out the Dolphin 30 on a 12 month plan and switch to the Dolphin 15 plan 6 months into the contract? It's confusing because they offer some of the same plans accross 12,18 & 24 month contracts but depending on the contract length you choose they come with different amounts of minutes and cost different prices for the same plans then theres other plans that are only listed on certain contract lengths! :S

Thanks for your assistance.

Acoording to Oranges terms the above quoted paragraph was only valid until June 2007, new T&C effective from June 2007 are below but same query still applies:
15.1 When you Register you are asked to choose a Service Plan and to indicate which Orange Additional Services you require. You may switch to a higher Service Plan at any time. You may switch once only to the next lowest Service Plan after one half of your Minimum Term has expired, unless otherwise stated. You must read the rules of your chosen Service Plan as they may restrict your right to change Service Plans during your Minimum Term.
