Ikea using T-Mobile network?

I've read somewhere that Ikea mobile uses the T-Mobile network; if I was to get a T-Mobile locked (or Virgin locked phone?) phone would I be able to use an Ikea SIM in it without unlocking the phone?

They do use T-Mobile so you could use a T-Mobile locked phone. You can't use a Virgin locked phone though it doesn't work like that. Just like a T-Mobile sim won't work in a Virgin locked phone.

That's irrelevant, the virtual operators phones are always locked just to that operator. But their SIMs will work in phones on the network they piggyback on.

So like Tesco use O2. You can use Tesco SIMs in an O2 phone, but you can't use an O2 SIM in a Tesco phone. It works the same way for all the virtual operators.
