contract with bad credit rating??
i have got a really bad credit rating and when my contract ends (ex mrs name) i need to get one my self.
can i get o2 to just change the name on the account??
i have had the money for the bill coming out of my account for the last 12 months
or could i just put some sort of deposit down??
any ideas please, at the minute im on a reduced tariff and would love to keep it that way but i think its impossible

I would think they'd need your ex to authorise a change in name.
Phones4u are good at getting those with bad credit a contract phone.0 -

Firstly I'd avoid P4U like the plague, they've got a terrible reputation (there staff also smell lynx africa and cheap hair gel, whilst their ceramic hair straighteners are hang out of the trouser pocket of there cheap Topman pin stripe suits, note the ridiculously large tie knots as well) . Depending on how bad your credit files are, some networks will offer a contract on a retainer / deposit (however I think this is more common with younger people, who don't have bad credit records, but just don't have records because of their age)
I highly doubt that o2 will take any instruction from you on the existing contract, if your not the contract holder, regardless of who pays the bill. So you will be reliant on your ex to transfer the contract from her to you. During this process, they will more than likely conduct credit searches. These will leave a foot print on your file.
If they don't accept you for a contract, I wouldn't continue to try with other networks, as this will look like desperation on your credit files and not do you any favours. If rejected and your adamant that you want a contract, it might be worth asking if you'd be accepted on a SIM only deal, as the criteria may be more accessible for you.My farts hospitalize small children0 -

I use to work for Phones4u (minus lynx aftershave/hair gel!!!) and would say that the easiest place that you're most likely to pass with is 3 - if you do fail the credit check, 9 times out of 10 they'll offer you a contract but with a £150 deposit which comes off your bill after 6 months. I have worked there for a while so things might have changed now but that always use to be the case when I worked there.

you a stokefan??? lol
i will try that, they are cheap aswell, whats 3s service like?? and coverage?0 -
t mobile are very good at getting you a contract with not so perfect credit as they are a little "softer" with their credit checks, altho i do advise you check ur network coverage with them before applying as its not too good.0
