Sony Ericsson k500i and Orange text bundles
Hi, I've been looking at a deal with the sony ericsson k500i. I was wondering whether you could tell me about the phone as it seems quite good but there is not many reviews about it. Also, the deal doesn't come with any free texts. I do text so would it be worth adding a text bundle onto the contract. Is there anyway of…

Virgin Mobile's unlocking policy?
Hello. Unlike on Tesco Mobile's site where this is clearly stated, I can't find anything on Virgin Mobile's site about their policy on unlocking PayG phones. Tesco will unlock a phone for free so long as £30 or more credit has been put on it in its lifetime. I get the idea that Virgin is the same, or they may require you…

She really wants more texts and wants to get the monthly cost right down. I have seen a really good deal with 02 which is a pay as you go offer. It is £10 a month…

Broadband - monthly usage allowance
I have only just learnt that we can finally have broadband in this very rural part of Yorkshire. Freeserve/Wanadoo has been my ISP for some time now and I have been very pleased with them. However they have a 3 tier system for Broadband access according to monthly usage. I remember that I read last year that Internet…

Cheapest Place To Buy Wireless Broadband Router?
Dear All I have NTL at home and am looking to have a router attached to the cable modem (set top box) to avoid having to have the computer on upstairs when I want internet access with my notebook elsewhere (both working on wireless - can change the leads but then have to keep rebooting the set-top box which is hassle).…

1899 and 18866
I have just signed up for 1899 and 18866. Am I right in understanding that it is cheaper to make calls through BT when dialling a number starting with 0845 or 0870? Presumably I just omit the prefix. Is this the best way? Thanks for help.

Cheapest Orange Tarrif?
Could anyone tell me what the cheapest available Orange Tarrif is? My brother has 3 months left of his contract and his phone is broken. He has decided to take out a new contract on a new number and would like to know the cheapest available Orange contract to put his OLD phone on for the last 3 months. Orange have quoted…

cheapest way of contacting people with mobiles
I'm amazed that Martin hasn't written an article about this lately, especially now that 18866's weekend rate to mobiles has gone up to a staggering 3p per minute. 1899 is still 2p, but has a higher connection charge. But you're still lucky to get less than 10p per minute during the week - so if your call isn't that urgent,…

Help needed! Blocked Vodaphone
I was given a Vodaphone mobile and Vodaphone PAYG sim as a Christmas present. This is my first mobile and I have messed up big time! :) I tried to input a PIN (several times!) and now have a message when I switch on the phone which says "PUK Blocked" and I can't do anything except call the Emergency Services. ::) Does…

TIP: SPAM Text Reporting service (Orange)
I notice that spam text messages are being spoken about more and more on this site so thought the following would be useful. Orange have a method of combating this problem. Much like e-mail spam reporting, the more people who know about the service, the more effective it is (I believe it is for Orange customers only but I…

Advice needed: Unblocking 18866
Hi, not sure if anyone has had this problem, but we have a 18866 account that has been blocked as the card we paid on was reported stolen. Since then, a direct payment has been made but over five days ago, the account is still blocked. It may just be because of Christmas and New Year etc, but does anyone have any advice? I…
