1899 and 18866

I have just signed up for 1899 and 18866. Am I right in understanding that it is cheaper to make calls through BT when dialling a number starting with 0845 or 0870? Presumably I just omit the prefix. Is this the best way?
Thanks for help.

  • Hi Samson

Yes, it is cheaper for these calls on BT than 1899 or 18866.

BTW, have you tried the "saynoto0870" website? This is great to get a geographical land line number for those 0870 and 0845 numbers - you do a search under the 0870 or 0845 number and it brings up a "regular" number, you can then dial this on 18866 and make the call for just 1p insetasd of heaven-knows-how-much on BT.

There are lots of posts here about the site, I have used it a lot and saved quite a bit amount of money.
