Hi, I'm a bit of a newb on this site so I hope this is the right place for this query. I'm trying to get a loan and have a high score on Experian (949) after working really hard to recover my status from a bit of a hole a few years ago. I recently applied for a loan through Alliance & Leicester / Santander that was offered…

Want a loan to consolidate debt, but can't get credit.
Hi all. I don't have a massive debt problem. I have £1000 left of a loan with Natwest. About £1700 across 3 credit cards, a £500 overdraft on my NatWest account and a £300 overdraft on my Halifax account. It's not a case of me not being able to afford my monthly repayments, they are very affordable. What I don't like is…

switching accounts?
Hi all, I currently have 2 bank accounts, one with TSB, and the other with HSBC. My wage is paid into my TSB account with the majority ;) of my debt with TSB. One of these debts is a loan, which has a ridiculous high interest rate (low wage and bad financial planning at the time of taking the loan :( ). Anyway now I'm on a…

Thanks All - Ignore this!
We have the following financial situation when part exchanging for a second hand vehicle. Can't figure out where our part exchange money has gone, unless it's all been taken by Arnold Clark? Looks like £8,550 has translated into 849.22 (£8,550 - £7,700.98)? That's £7,700.98 that we have lost in the part exchange? We can't…

Letter from MIL Collections.
Hi all, I got a letter from these guys a week or two ago about a 10 year old debt which they now claim I owe. The value is around £3.5k. Hello all, To keep this really easy and quick rather than dribbling on: - Loan needed for a nearly new car - Amount of £7000 - Paid over 24 months I hope - No penalties, or very little penalty if I want to pay it off quicker or want to pay more money each month. IMPORTANT! - I don't want a (bloody!) payment holiday. I want…

PCP on a car
Is it possible to get out of a PCP deal on a car early - I hear that after 18 months (or 50% of your payments have been made) you can simply hand the car back. I have an offer of another job but the company don't pay a car allowance as my current company do, it's a straight company car scheme. I'm 12 months into my PCP…

Applied to Santander.. but have to wait for decision?
This is the first time I've applied for a loan and it said it'd been received successfully etc and that I should be informed within 48 hours whether it's been successful or not. Is this the norm? As I say, it's the first time I've applied for an actual loan so it's all new to me and am used to the usual instant…
