switching accounts?

Options
Hi all,

I currently have 2 bank accounts, one with TSB, and the other with HSBC. My wage is paid into my TSB account with the majority ;) of my debt with TSB. One of these debts is a loan, which has a ridiculous high interest rate (low wage and bad financial planning at the time of taking the loan :( ).

Anyway now I'm on a good wage and I want to reduce this loan payment, but TSB won't lower the interest rate. I spoke to HSBC, but they said I don't have enough money going into my account and wouldn't consider me for a loan.

Do you think it's a good idea to move my wage to HSBC?
Will this have an adverse effect with TSB?
At present they are the only company that are willing to give me anything (loans, credit cards, etc...) I don't need credit right now but I don't want to be in a position where I can't get it if I do need it.

Anyone else switched in a similar situation?
