I have maxed out my loan of £1400 and need to increase it to £1600 before I go into my final and third year at university.
But I don't know if I can do this yet as I start University at the end of Septemper.
Could I just ring them up and say that I will be going into my final year at the start of September, and explain my situation - that I need this increase to pay for house rent at university.
I really need this increase before september or the VERY start of september.

Are you by any chance doing a masters/4 year course? If so, they can increase your overdraft to £2000 if you provide a letter or proof from your university.
That's what they did for me, anyway. I suppose another alternative could be to apply for an interest free credit card and do a cash transfer?0 -
The credit card sounds like a good idea, but it would be ideal if they would increase my loan. I really just need this 200 to pay off one month of rent.
So when my student loan comes in mid september I will be able to completely pay off my entire overdraft.0 -
You can't apply for an increase until 1st September, and there are no exceptions I'm afraid.Best Regards

Do mean Natwest Student Overdraft as opposed to loan?
Last year i needed to increase mine and did so in August up to the limit of £2000 which was the total I would be allowed.0
