Advice on getting a loan please
Hi all,
Basically, me and my partner are looking to get a loan of around £4000 for a personal issue of mine that needs to be sorted.
Without going into too much detail on a public forum about what it's for, we applied to a finance company that dealt with the costs/payments etc for the place we need the money for. Unfortunately, because my partner is only 19 we needed a guarantor and so we tried with 2 different people but were unsuccessful on both occasions.
The reason we were applying in my partners name was because I'm on benefits and obviously couldn't get the finance.
Now usually we save for anything that we need and so have never had a loan or borrowed money from anywhere, but this is something that has to be done. I'm just looking for help/advice on what sort of loan would be best for a 19 year old student to apply for.
We can afford to pay back around £120 per month, probably a little more, but obviously the less interest the better. Loans and debt scare the hell out of me  but like I said, earlier in the post, it's pretty much unavoidable at the mo.
Thanks in advance
Emma

its highly unlikely that you will get a loan for 4k without a gaurantor0

Hi Woodbine
That's of course not what we wanted to hear, but it's good to know either way, so thanks for taking the time to reply.
I guess we're just going to have to look into some other options (if any).
Thanks again
