Longest Isa Transfer Time Money In Limbo?
I handed in my completed ISA transfer form Nationwide to Alliance Leicester the end of February 2008. I received a letter from Nationwide 19th March 2008 confirming that my transfer request was completed and a cheque had been sent to Alliance & Leicester. To date and after numerous frustrating telephone calls to…

Transferring a Nationwide UT ISA
I have a Nationwide UT ISA which is now managed by Legal & General and I want to transfer it to HL. Does anyone know if I can transfer it by just completing the transfer form or do I have to speak to the Nationwide FA who set it up in the first place? I'd like to transfer it as funds rather than cash because I want to keep…

What happens to ISA allowance when PEP becomes Stocks & Shares ISA?
I have had a Single Company PEP (windfall Aviva shares, worth maybe £1500) for a good few years which has become a Stocks & Shares ISA this year, but I started a cash ISA with Egg in April. I also have a few windfall shares in Bradford & Bingley (not worth much today!) and 1300 Serco shares worth about £5,000, neither of…

NatWest ISA to e-ISA
Hi all, So I've got a ISA account with NatWest, and I always manage all my accounts online (in fact, I have the rest of my savings on an e-Savings account). So I thought "Well, since I manage my ISA online anyway, I might as well get an e-ISA and the extra cash". So I went to NatWest to request my ISA to e-ISA, and it…

Principality/B&B/Barclays ISAs
I have been working my way down Martin's ISA links looking for a new home for my existing ISAs. I'm wobbling a bit about the ICESAVE. I telephoned both Principality and B&B to check their account conditions. Principality do NOT allow transfers in to any of their fixed rate products. These products are ONLY for this year's…

We had three ISA's (Bradford and Bingley, Barclays and Halifax) which I transferred over to Nationwide and I'm getting impatient about when the transfer should be completed.... Went into the local branch of Nationwide on April 5th with all the paperwork. Process was apparently begun (due to their backlog) on April 12th…

Upgrading ISA at Alliance and Leicester
Hi all, I have an Issue 2 A&L cash ISA. when I spoke to customer services yesterday they offered to upgrade me to issue 4 (a jump in interest from 4.75% to 6.2% I think they said). Apparently all I have to do for this is to have an appointment at a branch. Is there any catch in doing this? Thanks, Catkins

ISAs: monthly interest vs annual
Hi everybody, excuse my ignorance but I was just wondering... do most ISA providers offer the choice of monthly or annual interest payments? And if so, how great is the benefit of tying yourself to the one provider for a year? Is there much greater interest to be earned? just a general query, thanks for your time

transferring ISAs
Why o why do I do it:? Apparently I was told by alliance and Leicester that each bank has up to 30days to do their job as part of transferring an ISA. Thats 60 days loss unless banks back date the interest. Which ISA's do backdate? Is it worth transferring an ISA how much higher does an interest rate have to be in order to…

Hi! My mother is 70years old and has around £20k in a good interest Cash ISA. She also uses a good Regular Savings Account. I wondered if anyone could suggest a better idea for what to do with the money invested in the Cash ISA? She moves it to the best rate each year. If she finds a savings account that pays better…

Cash Isa Withdrawl Question. Help Please!!
My mother has a cash ISA with £3000 from last year and £70 from this year. If she makes a withdrawal of £2000 (New Bathroom) in September and has put no more money in for arguments sake since the £70. Would it count as £70 towards this years allowance or £2000 towards this years allowance of £3600. If I'm not explaining…

Jupiter European ISA, keep, transfer, or cash in?
I've had a Jupiter Euro Fund ISA opened in 1999, opened with 7,000, recommended by an IFA. It's now worth a bit over 11,000. If i'd have invested the same amount in a 5.5% building society account it'd be worth the same. So I'm not that impressed with the increase in value over 9 years, for a "stocks and shares isa". If I…
