isa 2 accounts question

Hi ,I have just opened and invested £3600 into a fixed rate Halifax account but didn't realise I couldn't transfer funds in from my other isa account.

I have funds in a Britannia Isa which give a pretty Low intrest rate .So my question is could I open another isa account.
I won't be putting any new money in ,just transferring from Britannia account into the new account.

Yes. Just ensure that your chosen new provider allows inward transfers and complete their transfer form, they will arrange the transfer.

you could have done a transfer to the Halifax isa and then fixed the whole lot, including this years allowance, upon receipt of funds from Britannia, but as you have already fixed it, you are too late

like Baldur says u can do another, but do not fund it with anything, just let them apply for the funds from Britannia

Yeh I only realise there was no additional deposits allowed until after I dropped the 3.6k in the account!!
