Policy Expert-Claim amount of ZERO?!?
Hi, So I had a little trouble with some storm damage to my roof. Checked my policy with Policy expert and as long as it appeared to be covered. Called the claims line and was surprised to be put through to Trinity Claims and not Policy direct. Anyway, they promised to send out a Surveyor. So waited for the call and…

Occupation for car insurance?
I know that by tweaking job descriptions you can alter the premiums on insurance quotes and I want to do this for my wife who has recently taken early retirement from her job as a Local Government Officer. She is nowhere near state retirement age, but is now receiving her occupational pension. She is not considering…

Increased premium but didn't know a claim had been made
I have recently received my renewal documents that have almost doubled my premium on last year. On looking at the document in more detail they cite a claim in May 2017. I did slip into the back of a car at stationary traffic lights and called through to notify them. This was on 25th May 2017. I received a text that evening…

Life insurance terms - min or max?
I'm looking at taking out a smallish policy (enough to cover mortgage and loans), and being offered pretty different monthly figures depending on the term. I'm assuming that it's just a case of averaging out the risk (so a 40 year term is covering me @ 33 all the way up to 73). Does it make sense to go for the smaller term…

Method of finding previous house insurer of deceased?
is there a way of finding out a deceased person's previous home insurance company? My late father switched insurers every 1-2 years to get a good deal. There is a possible subsidence issue with his house which his current insurer (since 2014) believes was an issue pre-2014 (work was also apparently done to try to repair…

Hi All, We’ve currently let our house insurance lapse due to having home improvements done and wanted to make sure at the end of them we got the correct insurance at a fair price rather than changing our details mid part through a policy and be stung. Car insurance for carers
A gentleman I know is thinking that he is no longer able to drive his car so he wants to be able to insure the two carers that care for him, so that they can take him out and do his shopping for him. But because they aren't UK residents, he's having difficulties finding a car insurance company to accept this risk. The…

Car Insurance Companies that only want history for last 3 years?
Hi there, I had a minor accident early 2014 which I was really hoping could became ancient history when my insurance renews next month :rotfl: Go Compare asks about a 5 year history, but I've got it in my head that some insurance companies only ask for the last 3? Life insurance for someone with Coronary Artery Disease
To cut a long story short. I'm 34, barely drink, never smoked and exercise regularly.
