Polycell crack free ceiling paint - used it?

We have a few cracks in our ceiling as it's original 1930s stuff. Bit worse than hairline cracks. We're going to paper over it (it was papered anyway) but…

Need to find a lock for metal windows in rented flat
I live in a rented flat. The windows and frames are really old (single pane with metal surrounds). Potterton Gold HE24 combi boiler central heating problem
Hi, I have an intermittent problem with my combi boiler. I'll keep it brief: 1. Turn heating on (via thermostat). Boiler fires up but the 3-way diverter valve doesn't operate so the boiler heats up the water quickly but no water circulates the system (cold radiators) 2. Turn off the boiler for 5 seconds. Turn it back on.…

how dangerous is old paint in your house? (lead)
I believe that most paints before the 70s contained lead, so if you have an old house there is likely lead containing paint on walls, skirtings, facings and window frames, perhaps coated over with newer paint. Is it dangerous to sand skirtings etc if they have a coating of leaded paint? I guess even removing the old…
