Brick built shed close to boundary - trees?

Am planning a brick built outbuilding/summerhouse as close as possible to my boundaries (I know about the height limits etc), but am concerned as at present there are some very tall connifer type trees the other side of the garden fence, the fence i wanted to build as close to as possible.
I know some trees you cant build within 20m of, where would i find out about building close to these trees that are in a communal, grass walk through (a short cut through the housing estate in a village, kind of like an alley way in the countryside)

Good luck digging the footing in conifer roots.0

He has a point but a decent mini plus digger will make short work of them.
Problem is the result in terms of swell and subsidence is unpredictable
I'm pretty sure if your local council don't have a preservation order on them, you can build as close to your boundary as you dare.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)
Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed0 -
Preservation order or not killing them off could still see him in the brown stuff.0

I was under the impression that any outbuilding closer than 1 metre to a boundary needed planning permission, regardless of height.0

Nothing to do with tree roots but if you have the space you may want to think about leaving enough distance between the boundary and the new building so you can easily access the structure for maintenance, including a ladder.
From my own experience having enough space makes it so much quicker and physically easier. It also avoids having to faff around getting neighbours consent for access etc.0
