Need a Good, But Lightweight, Carpet Cleaner - Suggestions/Advice/Help Please :)

Total rewire of large stone house - does this quote seem ok?
Hi All I hope someone can set my mind at rest! We're totally renovating a large derelict house and the electrician is starting the first fix on Monday, I'm just having a few wobbles about how much he has quoted. He was the cheaper of the two quotes we got. Its a large, sprawling 3 double bedroom house on three floors. As…

New vinyl on top of old one
Can you lay new vinyl on top of the old one? The fitter was checking the condtion of the kitchen floor and some old tiles are broken underneath the old vinyl. He said as the rest of the floor seems to be level and in good condition, he suggests to lay the new vinyl on top of the new one. The easier option and it is done…

Freezer in the sunshine?
Very quick question - our supposedly frost free hotpoint freezer is pretty much completely clogged up with ice. I reckon this is because its rubbish and cheap, my wife reckons this is because its in a position in the kitchen where it gets a lot of sun on the front of it and the extra warmth is making it screw up. I don't…

I am looking into working from home but would like separate access for clients and wondered how feasible it is to have a toilet shed outside with little or no plumbing required, so that people who need to use facilities are still kept separate from the living areas of our home?

Carpet fitted - but faulty
Hi all, Hopefully one of the cavalry will be in soon to help me :D I bought a carpet from a local shop last week, and had it fitted on Wednesday this week. I had double sided velcro tape round my patio doors that the fly screens were attached to but when I took them off there is a layer of sticky glue attached to the upvc frame. I have tried scraping it off with limited success, using WD40 on it (as it is upright it drips off quicker than I can rub/scrape it) and have tried…
