Whirly or something else?
We've just completed an extension and our garden is now much reduced. I'm reluctant to use a whirly gig for the washing but what's the alternative? We have a fence on 3 sides and the building on the 4th. I could string a line between the fences but it would be rather low but maybe a clothes pole would help. Any novel ideas?

I've got a few boxes of IKEA spare bits, accumulated over the years. I don't even know the names of some of them. One is those marvellous metal bits that go in drawer/wardrobe carcasses - you have a metal screw, then an little flat circular complementing metal bit, that when you turn with a flat head screwdriver, grips the…

Parts for old style Twyfords loo
Can anyone advise me of a place I could get parts for an old Twyford toilet? Our one is circa 1975 (guessing-this is when house was built and I think it went in then) and the flush handle snapped. Otherwise the loo is perfectly fine and I really don't want to have to replace it if all I need is a new handle mechanism. The…

This is a long one but I will try to condense things as much as possible. We ordered a conservatory from a well known national company.
