Two prices for B&Q kitchen doors, guess which one they like ?
Hi Folks Just wondering if I've missed something whilst I've slept. Got the B&Q kitchen range brochure, Summer 2009, and was looking at replacement doors. Total price £242, just got 15% off voucher, so thought I would use it. Went online, not sure why (?), and the prices are more than double the brochure !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

RUST! Advice please all you DIY guys!
I have recently obtained a freecycled, steel metre rule for drawing nice, long straight lines with. I need it for artwork on things like cartridge paper and watercolour paper. The problem is that is slightly rusty in places and I fear this will rub off onto the paper. What would you recommend for getting rid of the rust,…

Mira Zest Shower - No hot water
Help, my shower first started spraying water from the control unit rather than the head. I turned off the shower's water supply and fused and got a replacement clip for the inside £4.99 instead of £200 new shower. I now turn the shower on and the water comes out at a rate of knots! Really flowing out, the head hardly stays…

Upstairs radiators coming on when heating turned off?
As the title says really! We have an ancient Baxi back boiler, and a hot water tank in the airing cupboard upstairs. Went down stairs to tear my husband off a strip for putting the heating on as I woke up sweltering only to find that although 2 rads upstairs were hot, the heating was turned off, downstairs rads still cold.…

Overflow Pipe
Hi There is water dripping from the Overflow Pipe at the front of my house. It's not heavy and hasn't got any worse in the last few days. By process of elimination, it's coming from the tank that supplies to the toilet. I cannot get up to the attic until the weekend as I am work during the day. Does anyone know of anything…

P.O. Box Question
Apologies if this is in the wrong section, I stuggled to find somewhere to put it. I need to know how to deliver something to a PO Box without sending it by royal mail. Basically, I've sent an application form to a PO Box in Coventry but I didn't realise it had to be sent by Royal Mail (sounds obvious now) so I sent it by…

I own a mid floor flat in a converted office block which was built in the sixties. Heating is radiant panel heaters which I aim to not use at all this winter (have twice before!). Wall Insulation!! Building Regs - A different one!
To simplify the problem ; One of the UKs biggest installers sent out a surveyor. All good. Fire place was open and asked what is going in there? .. Nothing. Well thats fine, they won't have to fit a wall vent. (I want to avoid wall vents at all costs as building is North facing and we regularly have strong winds on this…

Mains pressure hot water system
I've got what I think is a mains pressure hot water system in the new house (well actually in the garage). I've never seen anything like it before, and although it seems to work pretty well, there are a couple of things I'm puzzled about: - there is a pipe coming off the hot water tank that occasionally drips water. The…
