P.O. Box Question

Apologies if this is in the wrong section, I stuggled to find somewhere to put it.
I need to know how to deliver something to a PO Box without sending it by royal mail. Basically, I've sent an application form to a PO Box in Coventry but I didn't realise it had to be sent by Royal Mail (sounds obvious now) so I sent it by courier.
They took it but have now told me that they don't know where the PO Box is. I can't get hold of another address and I need the form there asap or I'll miss the deadline! Is there any way to find a physical address for the PO Box in the next 24 hours? I don't necessarily need the person's home address, just wherever they pick the mail up from.
Help!

Where i work they have a po box no. This means that our company pays royal mail to give us a po box. The mail is then kept at the sorting office and we pick it up from there.
So it looks as if you dont have any choice but to send it by Royal Mail.
Otherwise you will have to ring the company and ask for their address.
A courier will not be able to deliver to a po box.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
why didnt you just send it special delivery?
the PO box will be located at the delivery office for the delivery postcode
either the recipient will collect from the office or mail to that PO box will be delivered to a designated address for that PO box(unless the have a diversion in place)
the courier could possibly deliver it to the delivery office but its unlikely anyone would accept it nor deliver it0 -
May be worth asking the company concerned if they will accept a fax ..perhaps with the original to follow later. Most libraries and some newsagents etc will send a fax for a small fee if you don't have a fax machine yourself (or a fax dialup modem).
Alternatively Royal Mail special delivery as suggested.
Having had PO boxes myself in the past, if i recall correctly legally the company concerned must give their actual address if asked (at least for a legitimate reason!). The mail physically ends up in a box for that number at the delivery office..though by paying more (used to be double the price!) it can be delivered to the companies address instead.0 -
I am gutted that I didn't send it by royal mail in the first place, it was just easier and I thought more reliable to use my work's courier. If only I'd known then what a PO Box was I would have gone by mail, I just assumed it was like a normal address. Thanks for the advice so far, does anyone know if the sorting office would be able to accept the mail and put it in the PO Box if the courier delivered it there?0

as i have said i doubt it
you are asking them to sign for an item which isnt for them
if that PO box is a delivery PO box then you are expecting RM to deliver it for free0
