4 or 5 Hole bath fillers - so expensive, suggestion?
Well I've changed my mind at the last minute again. I've come to the conclusion that I was trying to get one product to fulfill too many wants and have decided to separate the shower from the bath taps so that I can get exactly the shower options I want. So I've scrapped the wall mounted tap idea and I'm now…

Improving/extending our current home - question
Sorry if this is in the wrong place! My Husband and I live in a small 2 bed cottage, nd originally planned it as a starter home for no more than 3 years. However, the way things are currently, we are sure we will now need to stay put for maybe 5 years minimum. We are very short of storage/space and would love a front porch…

Lay gravel driveway over exisiting paving stones?
We have moved into a house where the short driveway (only size of a parking space effectively) consists of two strips of paving stones with a border down the middle. A few of the flags are cracked and uneven so it looks a bit unsightly. As a short term solution to make it look more attractive I thought I might just order…

Can anyone recommend a company that supplies and fits roller blinds?
I would have to get one made to measure, as my window's too big to buy a ready made one. I also need to get someone to fit it, so I'm looking for a company that can do the lot for me, either a national company or one in Glasgow. I know of Hillary's, but I remember them being expensive. The window size is 2.3m, does anyone…

Induction Hobs with 26cm pans
Am just about to buy a 4 zone induction hob and was surprised that most still have the 2 small + 2 large "ring" configuration - didn't really understand the need for small zones. Anyway - longemail trailwith Neff came up with a couple of points 1) Don't put small pans on large zones - they won't work - 60% of the zone…

Karndean annual treatment?
(And yes I have looked up previous threads, but I'm still not sure.) Mum is thinking of having Karndean flooring in her sitting room. Just her and the dog, so it's not going to get massive amounts of wear. When she went to the shop, they said something about it needing treating every year, and my sister in law said her…

Neighbours Garage Roof "Damaged"
I've just had my leaking garage flat roof replaced and re-felted. The garage is joined to next door's garage by about 50% of it's length.
