Improving/extending our current home - question

Sorry if this is in the wrong place!

My Husband and I live in a small 2 bed cottage, nd originally planned it as a starter home for no more than 3 years. However, the way things are currently, we are sure we will now need to stay put for maybe 5 years minimum.

We are very short of storage/space and would love a front porch (brick built) and either an extension or conservatory off the kitchen to use as a dining room.

We need to do this the most budget friendly way possible! - Does anyone have any advice?

We have been told that a conservatory wont really add value, whereas an extension would, but surely if its creating an extra room the conservatory would increase value a little (admittedly not as much as an extension).

We estimate £2k for a porch. Does anyone know how much both a conservatory, and an extension would be roughly?

6ft x 11ft approx

I know a lot of factors affect the price but we are trying to gain a better understanding of the financial impact

Thanks
