We're thinking of buying a side-by-side f/f - what is apparently known as an "American f/f" and had thought about the Samsung RS20CCMS5. But I've just read the one and only review I can find…

HELP. How to finish wooden doors!
My old pine kitchen was very orange and tatty............so OH carefully sanded all the doors down and they looked beautiful, not wanting to "spoil" them with varnish, we waxed them (Briwax) and they looked lovely, warm, clean, pale and fresh, but any little water spot or splash leaves a white mark, not very practical in…

Machine Washable Suits (any good?)
I haven't purchased a suit in ages and now have to find a new professional looking one. While shopping around I noticed a particularly large line of home washable suits at one of the major chain stores. Are these the new future of formal attire or just a gimmick for lazy customers? Do these hold up as well as dry-clean…

Duff Sony Camcorder Screen
After only two years and having hardly ever been used the LCD screen for my £300+ camcorder is crocked. It has a one year warranty. The local Sony Centre says they will charge £75 for someone to have a look and if there is something that can be fixed I'll not be much short of £200 out of pocket. Their advise - don;t bother…

Old cottage - damp walls
My 200+ yr old cottage has solid (no cavity) walls some in stone and some in brick.
