can a bt man move a phone point?

i have a phone point in the hall, and would ideally like it moved into the lounge, can this be done?

we have done this loads of times.. we have bought a extension kit and run it off that way..im with ntl and if i got them out to do it would cost me £25 so check out the prices with bt., im sure any handy man could do it

I think I am right on this, others feel free to correct me.
The main phone point is the property of BT - you can do anything you wish to it by extending apart from tampering inside with the connections.

what it is is that the main point is in the hall, and we need 2 points in the lounge

It is BT's property, if you want the whole thing moving then BT must do it. If you wish to extend it then you can do it yourself, it is quite easy!

You can add two more extensions to the existing one, you can either use plug in extension kits or hardwire them into the BT master socket. If you are going to wire them get an insertion tool, it makes it easy.
