Looking for hard wearing shoes!

how do I get rid of the smell of burnt wood in a room?
I had a tenant cause a mini fire a month back or so. I had the most damaged parts of the carpet and floor replaced and left the room to air. However the smell of burnt floor (wood) is still noticeable when you walk into the room any ideas on how I can get rid of this? thanks
