Why are they both for sale?
Hi Everyone, We have finally started viewing properties for our first house. Viewed a semi-detached house on Saturday and have another viewing of the attached house on Tuesday. Should we be concerned that both houses are up for sale at the same time? Both houses are on with the same estate agent so will ask at the viewing…

ID1 to change ownership.. Do I have to disclose my address?
My OH is in the middle of changing ownership due to divorce and the court has ordered him to give up his property in his ex wife's name. Only issue is that he does not want to disclose his address to her (plenty of valid reasons why!) He has done it with the courts and they have kept it strictly confidential. Cannot use…

Housing selling and buying process.
Hi, We're looking to put our house on the market next year and I'd like clarification on the process please. Is it the case that we wait for ours to sell, then get mortgage advice and then start looking. Once we've found somewhere we get through mortgage promise and put an offer in? Or do we seek advice before putting it…

If buying a new build, even if we have a large deposit is it worth going with the government scheme or not as we would have the money to pay the government loan at the end of five years. Or should we just put a larger deposit down. Hope this makes sense.

Letting agent fees.... Is this legal?
I have lived in a shared flat for two years. In May we signed a contract to stay for another year, but myself and another person want to move out. The agent is saying we must each pay £360 to have the tenancy amended. And the remaining person must pay £60 to be "re-referenced" and the new people must pay £180!! To be fair,…

Tenants broke ceramic hob
Hi everyone, My tenants accidentally smashed a glass jar on the glass ceramic hob. It has caused a few small hairline cracks. Having read up on this and also through the advice of an engineer, I have accepted it will need repairing or replacing. If it was purely cosmetic damage that didn't affect the safety of the hob in…
