Hi I just liked to gauge an opinion out there. Basically I took a let only service out with a letting agent for which they charged 9% +vat. I had a 6 month AST, followed by a new one for a another one for 6 months- both only in my name. Anyway at the end of this we renewed for 12 months, however by this time my partner was…

Leasehold - responsibility for windows?
I live in a ground floor flat with share of freehold. When I moved into the flat three years ago, the two flats above were owned by one resident, and we had a spoken agreement that we would share costs of repairs to the building, except for windows which would be repaired (and paid for) by the owners of the individual…

New build
Hi all, went to look round a new build at the weekend and have decided that routes definitely not for us. However, was looking at a 3-bed and they knocked £20k of the asking price straight away (was up at £169,950) and you could easily get more off. Just thought those of you interested in new builds might like to know. :p

End of month/end of year targets for EA
So, what's the deal with targets for EAs? Do they tend to have monthy targets, or quarterly, annual? When does their "year" end? Guess it could vary. My thought would be to casually/jokingly say something along the lines of "if you can persuade the vendor to accept my [low] offer that it'll be one in the bag for February!"…

If there was a website where cash buyers could state the amount they have (not giving out personal info but be able to correspond by email )and which areas/postcode they want + what they require in a property. Sellers could then access this site and see if there are any matches which would suit their circumstance if they…
