good to see things back up and running
I'm no expert but I'm guessing this was a pretty sophisticated attack for the site to be down for so long. Do you think it could have been some angry HPC fanatics who were upset about not being to able to discuss their favourite topic.

2nd Viewings
Just wondering what your views are of second viewings? Do they generally (always?) lead to offers? Personally, I've always made up my mind from the first visit and have only requested a second viewing if DH wasn't with me for the first so he'd not seen it at all. But the decision to offer was pretty much made on the first…

Why do people say there is/will be shortage of house?
I can't find shortage of house  AFAIK, nobody in this country lives on streets! Everyone has somewhere to stay [rented/owned etc.] There are still plenty of places with FOR SALE and TO LET boards. I'm on rent - and changed home few times. I never faced "shortage" of properties. Well, sometimes there can be…

Play it safe or Go for broke??
We're planning on moving next year and have a bit of a dilemma. We have a joint income of £38000 and have seen some beautiful houses at around £200000. We'll have saved £10000 and should get at least £10000 from our current house so would need to borrow £180000. Do any high street lenders with decent rates lend at this…

Portishead - should I sell or should I go ??
Mrs. Nollag lived in Portishead, outside Bristol, for many moons before we married and moved to London. She has kept her flat there, and is renting it out, even though we both know we could get higher rental yields in other parts of the country. The reason for her doing this is that she is holding out hope for the railway…

My girlfriend and I are moving out of our rented flat next month, and we have been told that there is a check out fee of £70.00 that will be taken out of our deposit, once we have left.
