Cheque to Th Occupier
I just received a cheque for £47.46 from EON to 'The Occupier' of my home. It says that it is because they didn't update the prices on my pre-payment meter. We don't have a pre-payment meter and we are no longer supplied by EON (although we were when we moved in to the property in November). Any thoughts on what to do with…

Broken clock on electric meter
Hi, I am with EDF energy on an economy 7 tariff. I did my meter readings a few days ago, and was shocked to see my day usage had more than doubled, while the night rate increased only minimally. I am barely in the flat during the day, and have a storage heater which charges over night. My consumption pattern has stayed the…

Can I combine my electricity and gas supplies? Two properties that I bought as one
I have just moved into my first flat (yay!). It is one property that used to be two and so has separate gas and electric metres and supplies in each half. I'm a bit worried about the expense of 4 separate utility bills. Does anybody know of a way to combine them so I'm just paying for one set of gas and electricity? Thanks!

Bill query
We had our gas and electricity supplied by EON since feb 2019, unknown to us in Sept 2019 someone on our street mistakenly gave a the supplier 'bulb' our meter serial number to open their own account. In a nutshell we then supposedly 'left' EON. Upon looking to switch suppliers in January we realised we had no gas supply…

Economy 7 heaters using too much electricty
I manage my mums account, she only has electricity, no gas and uses mainly economy 7 storage heaters and a couple of electric heaters on timers. Her usage is just going up and up, its ridiculous. I gave some updated readings on 4th February, the usage from 11th January to 4th February was: Day rate 418 kWh x 18.578p £77.66…

Switching is easy... pffft
I am tired of hearing how easy it is to switch energy supplier every year. Every time i do it it turns into an immense headache. Politicians tell us how easy it is, well maybe it is for them when all they have to do is tell their staff to handle it. Take for example my efforts from about 20 months or so ago. I did the…

Water Supply Query
Hello all, I live in a mid terrace in St Albans, built sometime in the 1890s. Last summer we had issues with our water supply, where the pressure was dropping to nothing on some days or a dribble on others. I called Affinity water, who supply the property and they sent out an engineer. After some investigation, the…

in credit on old energy account so what is timescale for getting credit refunded ?
Mid October 2019 I switched gas supplier from Better Energy to another supplier as my tariff was ending . I chased BE a month later for a final gas statement as I wanted to know if it was in credit or debit to them . BE told me they had not received my meter reading I had given to the new supplier, so BE had used the…
