Who owns my solar panels
So I bought a house in November 2017 and have realised recently that it has solar panels on the roof, how do I find out what these are, who owns them etc. The vendor didn't provide any details and I cannot get in touch with them to find more about the panels. Thanks in advance.

Good Energy
Interesting article in Private Eye. Their energy is not so green after all as it is not all coming from waste digestion but farmers are growing beet and other stuff which goes straight to the anerobic digesters. Up to 50% is not from waste, despite their claims.

Solarplicity - advice needed on cancelling switch
Hi on Tuesday 31st Jan I went onto moneysupermarket and saw a really good deal with Solarplicity. So I set up to switch to them. The next day a friend was telling me of their bad customer service reviews, so I decided to cancel the switch and have said to my current energy supplier I want to fix with them for another year.…

Lowri Beck and 0845 number
I was blessed this morning with a Lowri Beck 'sorry we missed you' meter reading card, although I was at home all the time and nobody knocked on the door. I was surprised to see the invitation to call them on 0845 702 3461 to provide my meter readings, as I thought (perhaps wrongly) that the use of 0845 in circumstances…

Overnight usage = 50p
When I got up this morning, my Scottish power smart meter said my energy had cost me 50p. I think this is rather high, since the cost for the whole day can be around £1 in the summer and £2.50/£3 in the winter. I will turn my electric blanket off, when we get a warm night, but I just searched for electric blanket cost for…

Insulating Dormer Extension
Apologies if my thread is in the wrong part of the forum but it is to do with saving energy. About 2.5 years ago I bought a top floor flat with dormer extensions. The extensions are so old there's no paperwork for them so I have no idea how well insulated they are, if at all. If it means anything the EPC rating when I…

Iresa offered fixed tarrif cheaper than variable!
Hi everyone. My introductory rate term with Iresa for electricity is coming to an end. They have offered me two new tariffs, both have the same name except one is fixed and one is variable. But the fixed tariff is the cheaper one. Isn't it usually the other way round? By providing a fixed rate the energy company is…

Look After My Bills
In the name of saving money I signed up to "the big deal" (another crowd switching site that tries to bargain for better deals) but I recently recevied an email from them about lookaftermybills.com which claims to do the comparison and switching work for you. I have yet to use it so (and it's new) so can't recommend or…

Flow MSM & MSE Exclusive Fixed March 2018 Ending
Flow have just written to me advising the end of the fix. They say that the tariff will automatically transfer to their lowest tariff. Is this now typical of suppliers , rather than reverting to their standard tariff? Secondly the tariff referred to is Daffodil 19 and is an unpublished tariff. I am used to unpublished…

Refund on gas and leccy bills
I've just had an oik on my doorstep trying to talk to me about an announcement concerning refunds on gas and leccy bills. I sent him away with a flea in his ear because I DO NOT discuss my financial affairs with a complete stranger who turns up unannounced at my door. However, it got me to thinking it may be a scam doing…
