When I got up this morning, my Scottish power smart meter said my energy had cost me 50p.
I think this is rather high, since the cost for the whole day can be around £1 in the summer and £2.50/£3 in the winter.
I will turn my electric blanket off, when we get a warm night, but I just searched for electric blanket cost for overnight, and it came up as 8-10p

Appliances on standby, router, do combi boilers have a pilot light ect?

It applies the daily standing charge in addition to your usage.

Electric and gas standing charges could well be around 50p per day .

My electric blanket uses 15w on the low setting which is 0.12kwh which is 0.12x14p which 1.6p for 8 hours.
4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.

Just looked at my online account, 24.530p standing charge, x2 for both gas and electricity.
Which would mean that the electric blanket, wi-fi and the stand-bys, amount to almost nothing.
