Co-Op energy.
They are supposed to check your usage/cost, but have just increased my DD from £87 to £152 ?? apparently ive got too far behind. Yes I know they & all the others have increased prices, but surely they should have intervened earlier. (Yes I do know you have to pay it in the end)

Airtricity price rise
Hi Airtricity in Northern Ireland announced a price rise due to take effect on 1st July 2013. I went online last night and purchased a top up. The code was 40 digits which to me suggests that if I use it my tariff will change. Is this correct? Also is this legal?? I tried to contact them yesterday but gave up waiting on…

running my edf account
what is wrong with paying £95 a month for both gas and electric, and then if any deficit at bill time paying it off, the edf control centre people seem very miffed by this and try to insist on £129 a month. it just seems they want me to build up a massive credit balance.

Eon sent refund, now saying it was a mistake.
Ok, so I switched from a pre payment metre to monthly direct debit about 6 weeks ago. They came and changed my metre and said I would get a call to set up the d/d payments. This never happened so I called them to try and sort out. They told me the reason they haven't set it up yet was because I was in credit by £1,100!!…

Any advice on successfully getting a refund from npower? I've had an absolute nightmare of a time with them the last couple of months, since they finally agreed that charging me £175/month (!) was a bit steep I'm now hundreds of pounds in credit, but getting the money back is proving to be next to impossible. I've twice…

Hello everyone This is the first post I have ever made in a forum - so please make allowances! My current fixed price contract with my energy provider (E-on) expires in a few days time, so a few moments ago I joined the Cheap Energy Club. EDF problems
I'm having problems with EDF - Since the start of 2013 they had a computer error and overcharged us for gas. They charged us £506, when it should have been £406 for that quarter. They accepted this to be their error. Then between February and May....They now want to charge us £920 is gas use alone! We are having them out…

First Utility's HUGE bills
We waited six months for a decision from the energy ombudsman. They found in favour of firstutility despite our bills being more than twice the amount we had been quoted, so we had to pay up £2300 for a year's service rather than the £996 we'd been quoted. It would have been better had we switched company six months…

Electric wet central heating
We have oil fuelled central heating at the moment but have just had solar panels installed so was thinking about changing to electric wet central heating. Would this be a cheaper option than oil. We cannot have gas as we live in the country and no supply near us.
