Cheap Energy Club

Hello everyone
This is the first post I have ever made in a forum - so please make allowances!
My current fixed price contract with my energy provider (E-on) expires in a few days time, so a few moments ago I joined the Cheap Energy Club. I answered the questions about my consumption and lo and behold it told me that I was already on the cheapest tariff. That's great, but what happens when it expires very soon? How do I find the next best tariff to sign up to?
Very grateful for all help and advice.

I think I'd be trawling the comparisons sites myself to see what the best deal is and then you'd be in a good position to swap when the existing deal runs out - especially if you want to time your switch to happen on the actual date. I'd guess that the energy club system can't do much until your exixting deal has actually finished (although I'd be happy to be proved wrong).

I do a comparison trawl once a month to see what's around and always compare tariffs/standing charges/discounts etc agains my annual Kw usage so I can work out what the cheapest deal is.

A lot of sites assume that you'll go onto your existing suppliers' standard tariff at the end of your deal and so give a false impression of what you'll save - in most cases if you are on a good deal now then the next one will cost more (because they've all gone up since you went on it)
