running my edf account
what is wrong with paying £95 a month for both gas and electric, and then if any deficit at bill time paying it off, the edf control centre people seem very miffed by this and try to insist on £129 a month. it just seems they want me to build up a massive credit balance.

Your monthly D/D amount is supposed to be 1/12th of of your expected Annual spend on Gas & Elec Kwh, (+ a contribution to clear up any debt caused by Estimated Bills or previous underpayment)
Work out what your Annual spend should be and if EDF want something different, Email them with your figures asking them to advise you in writing of theirs if they disagree - This works for me0 -
If you don't wish to pay the amount asked, ask to pay on receipt of bill. That way you will pay for what you used
But you won't get the monthly DD discount... but you don't really expect that unless you comply with their terms do you?0 -
