Standard tariff with E7 meter?
Hi, just wonder if anyone knows: Will utility companies let me have a standard tariff even though I have an Economy 7 meter? Basically in the winter the use of our storage heaters means its obviously cheaper on E7; but in the summer we don't switch them on at all, so would benefit from the lower rate on everything else.…

Confusing times

I'm wondering if any one has any thoughts on the TV adverts regarding replacing boilers and paying over a period of up to 3years? appreciate that there is interest on the offer, however as I'm using a very old gas boiler at present and not able to…

Npower Blatant Lies
I have an ongoing (since July 2012) complaint with Npower over meters installed at my home that I moved into in April 2012. There has been one error after another which has resulted in me receiving demands from debt agencies failure to send payment cards and now sending me a bill for Gas used when there were 2 gas meters…

Just someone confirm this for me
Moved into a new property and taking a reading from the date I moved in until now I've only used 26 units of gas The readings are 7353.22 where the .22 are in red 7379.50 And being an extra cautious person I'm probably asking for clarification of the obvious but that does mean just 26 units ? So that's 26 times by the unit…

Is Britain's domestic gas & electricity really the lowest in Europe?
Liebrary: Are Britain's energy companies' charges for domestic gas & electricity really the lowest in Europe? What the apologists are rather shy about is the fact that the price difference is due to UK taxes on retail energy being about the lowest in the EU. If you strip out the government taxes - money which doesn't go…

E-On Boiler Care
Had an E-on gas engineer visit this evening to look at my boiler which was leaking slightly. Having looked at the boiler for a while he said the heat exchange seal had gone and was now deemed dangerous so would need to cap the supply. He then spent over an hour trying to establish the part number before saying the repairs…

Npower owe me money but are taking their sweet time
Firstly, apologies either if this is the wrong forum (it seemed right!) or if it's been asked before - I did try to search but couldn't find anything obvious related to Npower house move refunds. That seems ominous in itself... Anyway, my situation is that we moved house in September. Npower were our old supplier, who we…

Removal of RHT meter and E-on
Hi All, I have read a lot of threads on the site regarding RHT meters but haven't seen a conclusive answer in how to merge the feeds into one meter. On a lot of the threads an e-on rep claims RHT meters and tariffs are sometimes better for the user, not in my case, I'm several hundred pounds a year worse off. It's also…
