British Gas Refund?
I cancelled two direct debits and got standard letters from British Gas saying I've got a credit balance of over £1,400 on my gas and electricity accounts from 2008. I contacted BG to claim that back, and they said they could find no record of those amounts. They've offered £50 compensation for my trouble. What should I do?
