Thinking of taking the plunge for dual fuel on Scottish power Online Fixed Price July 2013, having had a scan for bad reports of SP, I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary :o

So why do you want to be talked out of it?
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Just in case I had missed anything, I know OVO and 1st Utility had looked favourable in the past, but there are plenty of reported episodes to convince me there not to sign up with them :o

I've found Ovo to be very good, better than Scottish power as far as I'm concerned, I find it hard to believe you have found more negative comments about Ovo than you have Scottish Power considering the difference in customer base..

I was considering OVO in the past, after they had estimated a favourable rate based on actual annual readings the DD was going to be more than my monthly average (those were the main type of stories I was seeing) as I'm soon to change I suspect the lower spring summer use will build up enough credit to cover Autumn and Winter?
  • SP are actually ok. Just keep tabs on everything give monthly meter reads and you'll be fine. There online service is the best ive seen from any utilty company.

I give monthly meter reads on both utilities anyways, so that won't be an inconvenience, just wish they had an app like BG or npower just for the added convenience.
Talking of online management, is the usage all up to date? I know with BG as soon as it is inputted, current and previous data can be viewed, npower I'm yet to see anything online.
