Hi there I did a fuel switch late on Wedneday night (8/6) through MSE and Monsey supermarket, but I've yet to receive a confirmation e-mail that they received the application and are pursuing it (I did get the confirmation screen though). Could those who have a made a switch let me know if they recieved an e-mail and, if…

Scottish Power Misselling
Hi all Just over 2 weeks ago, having moved into a new home I set up an account with Scottish Power. I rang to discuss the options with them on the phone, and got it down to the choice between two products; fixing with their Unifi tariff or taking a risk with a cheaper Online tariff. I was quite torn, so I asked if I would…

Anyone for the Co-op?
I noticed in the weekend papers that the Coop is entering the energy market with promises of very 'steady' pricing as oppose to fixes or hikes. Is anyone impressed? http://www.cooperativeenergy.coop/assets/documents/price-list.pdf

EXCLUSIVE the REAL reason for the Scottish Power price increases
I can reveal the real reason why Scottish Power are putting their prices up.... Scottish Power are rebranding themselves ScottishPower. Someone has to pay to remove the old and place the new decals on their vans. Someone has to pay for the old stationery to be consigned* to dumps and to pay for new kerning software.…

The hidden £140 price bump
Just thought I would cheer everyone up by reminding them of the extra hidden bump in headline quotes. They used to quote the average price for 20,500 kWh of gas. They now only count 16,500 kWh. So, at 3.5p per unit, that means the headline quote is a misleading £140 cheaper than it would have been last year. :j

Energyhelpline information INCORRECT!
MSE describes Energyhelpline as Top Comparison. However, it is giving me misleading information. It has not taken account of the various discounts my current provider applies after the main kWh usages. It simply takes my current supplier main kWh rates and compares from there. It suggested I could save £141 by switching. I…

Should I ditch my EON SaveOnline 3 and Fix?
I signed up to EON's Save Online 3 deal in November last year and if I leave will have to pay £30 before 1st November 2011. I did the Energyhelpline comparison last night and all deals showed I would be worse off if I moved so not sure if I have done it right or that is how it is! Ive used this tool many times before…

Showering at his work. He is leaving the economy 7 immersion on all night, no timer, and is manageing to not need to put the booster…

Ebico announce no current plans to increase prices
From the Ebico facebook page, posted 2 days ago (Tuesday 07 June 2011): But remember they posted something similar (actually denying any forthcoming price change iirc) last November only to announce a 9.2% increase only weeks later. Digest with a huge lump of salt ... ;)

Ovo
I have now been with Ovo for about 2 months. However I have now received an email advising they are doing a dd review and want to increase my amount by £5.00 per month because according to them based on estimate I will be £42.00 debit by March 2012. However I have politely told them I will not pay anymore and WE will both…

Stick or Switch....
My situation is i'm on a good non-fixed online tariff with Npower - Sign Online 21 for both electricity and gas till March 2012. Now it costs me £40 to switch both of these fuels over to a fixed rate as well as the obvious higher fixed rate price. What should i do?? I was thinking of sticking...being in a end terrace small…

EDF energy - contact problems
Has anyone else had MAJOR problems trying to get hold of EDF? I aplied to switch to EDF's 2014 tarriff via Quidco on the 15th May. I've heard nothing from EDF, so I tried to ring them yesterday, but it was after 6pm and the voicemail stated due to 'upgrades' they are closing their lines after 6pm. Tried again today; I was…

Does anyone here not fix and keep switching?
Hi all, I wondered if anyone here has never chosen to fix and just keeps switching to a different supplier/tariff whenever there's a price increase? I know having a fixed rate deal for a set period of time means no worries but could it possibly work out better to keep switching from one to another to get the cheapest deal…

Referring EDF to OfGem
I previously posted about the problems I'm having with EDF and the setting up of (what you would think would be easy for them) a DD on my account which I opened with them only in February. Is there a set proceedure for referring compliants to Ofgem , and how long does it take to get the issues sorted? TIA

Is there any point in switching?
Advice please. I'm with scottish Power for gas, but is there any point in going through all the palaver of switching only to find the company you've switched to also increases their prices just after you've joined them? I'm on a standard tariff and pay quarterly by paper bill. I get my my leccy from Npower.I prefer not to…
